About the Role

As a Teacher Under Supervision, you will deliver vocational and non-vocational training in Electrotechnology under the guidance of an experienced educator. You’ll contribute to curriculum planning, student engagement, and continuous improvement while building strong industry connections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess training activities under supervision
  • Create inclusive and safe learning environments
  • Support students through pastoral care and referrals
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments
  • Engage with industry and vocational education networks
  • Participate in professional development to maintain vocational currency
  • Ensure compliance with Melbourne Polytechnic policies and VET standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant vocational qualifications in Electrotechnology
  • A Grade Electrical License
  • Demonstrated industry experience
  • Actively working towards a training and assessment credential (e.g., TAE40122 or equivalent), or holding a relevant skill set or secondary teaching qualification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to accurate record-keeping and compliance
  • Understanding of OH&S and anti-discrimination legislation

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
